I do love Chardonnay in winter, especially if it’s judiciously oaked like this one. The nose has notes of fig and toffee, though without being cloying. Fruit becomes evident on the palate in the form of fresh peach, balanced by a nutty character, creamy texture and long finish with a burst of toasted sunflower seeds.
