COME IN AND TRY

Cottier Sauvignon Blanc 2008  3 June 2009

A fresh delivery of this Savvy yesterday made me think I must put it on tasting as it is very delicious indeed. So here you have the Cottier Sauvignon Blanc 2008 which comes from just over the hill in the Wairarapa.

On the nose it is distinctively full of ripe bananas, passion fruit and lemongrass with just a splash of fresh lime juice.

In the mouth our Cottier is a softer style of Savvy but still very much a full fruited white with crisp mouth-watering acidity. Ripe orchard fruit flow across the tongue with gentle floral characters and a long lemon and lime gelato finish.

Soft and cosy this Sauvignon Blanc is easy going with more of a warm feel to it compared with Marlborough styles, making a perfect aperitif style drinking white as we get used to this wintery weather.
