COME IN AND TRY
Vidal-Fleury Cotes du Rhone 13 July 2010
As it’s Bastille Day tomorrow, it seems fitting to taste French wines this week. Today’s offering is classic Cotes du Rhone, from the oldest continuously operating winery in the Southern Rhone. This Grenache dominant wine is ripe and juicy, with a nose of violets, pepper and a savoury drift of wood smoke. Plenty of fruit in the mouth with subtle spice and a pleasing dryness complete the picture.
