Chateau d’Agel is based in the Minervois wine region of Languedoc in Southern France, and a short drive from the infamous fortress town of Carcassonne. Winemaking here dates back to early-Roman times, hot dry summer days with old vines planted in thin stony soils. Languedoc is famous for hearty and flavourful wines made from juicy Grenache, rustic Carignan and sturdy spicy Syrah – but with more finesse than the nearby Corbieres and Fitou wines.
