Chateau L'Enclos Pomerol
The Left bank Bordeaux hogs the limelight with dark Cabernet based wines, where the Right Bank wines feature heavier clay soils better suited to Merlot and Cabernet Franc- more accessible and generous wines.
Founded in 1898 but now a modern 'Michel Rolland' wine featuring vibrant blackberry, red cherry and plum with a dash of pencil shavings. Medium bodied supple & round plum, smoky dry tannins and round chocolaty oak (50% new barrels).
82% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec. Decant if drinking now, or cellar for another 3-5 years for best results.
