Youthful, full bodied and smooth Syrah from this Hawke's Bay winery named for the cypress-studded hillside surrounding their vineyard
Made from 100% Syrah in the Gimblett region from low yields, a combination of fruit from the steep hillsides and the flat but stony soils at the base of the hill.
Bright ruby colour with a touch of purple, aromas of warm cedar wood, stewed dark fruits, and a whiff of vanilla. Light to medium in body, smooth black plums and black currants melded with an delicate aromatic lift and a spicy dry finish.
