Dopff & Irion Edelzwicker
The name of Edelzwicker comes from “Zwicker” (which means blend) and Edel ( which means noble) - a blend of noble varietals from the Alsace AOC. In this appellation, the allowed white noble varietals are Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat d’Alsace, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Auxerrois, and the Swiss grape Chasselas.
Dopff & Irion's Edelzwicker has a clean freshness, white florals, and gentle fruit sweetness. It will pair well with shellfish or seafood, charcuterie or salads or just as an aperitif as can happily be drunk on its own.
