Gato Negro Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc from the Central Valley of Chile, reminiscent of a Semillon

Chile produces stellar value wines thanks to cheap land and low cost labour, along with climates and soils well suited to viticulture. Gato Negro is a 'value' range of wines from San Pedro, grown in the large Central Valley region of Chile. Translating to 'Black Cat' that started as a friendly companion to the winemaker became a good luck charm and now accompanies the wine to some 80 countries around the world.

Picked early from the Central Valley region of Chile, cropping less fruit per hectare than typical Marlborough vineyards, the warmer climate bringing a combination of tropical and herbal flavours. It almost comes across more of a 'Semillon' in style, featuring crisp & tangy stone with more exotic tropical fruit flavours.  Will appeal to Sauvignon & Pinot Gris drinkers alike.
