Light, fresh, finesse and structure

Founded in 1812 by Alphonse Pierlot (a former cooper and bottler) in Tours-sur-Marne.  This is Laurent-Perrier's entry level and biggest selling Champagne.   It is approximately 50% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 15% Pinot Meunier.   This unusually high percentage of Chardonnay has become something of a defining characteristic for the flavour of Laurent-perrier's Champagnes.

Tasting notes

31 December 2013 by Michael Hutton

Winemakers Note:  the color is a pale golden hue, with fine and persistent bubbles. The nose is fresh and delicate, showing good complexity with hints of citrus and white fruit.  This brut's light style has led the way to making Champagne the ideal aperitif drink. Its perfect balance, crispness of flavors and finesse also make it the ideal companion for fish, poultry and white meat.
