Juicy and brooding Carmenere from Chile

Produced in the Maipo Valley, a region often described as the 'Bordeaux of South America' and the birthplace of Chilean viticulture.  Ventisquero was founded in 2000 by a group of young entrepreneurs with the intention of creating outstanding quality wines.  This particular wine has 15% Syrah in the blend, 85% Carmenere.  Aged for 12 months in 50% French Oak and 50% American Oak.

Explosive blackberry and blueberry nose, continuing to the palate enhanved with rich dark chocolate, coffee and tobacco and a very smooth spicy finish.
