Chateau de Beauregard-Ducourt AOC Rouge (Bordeaux, France)
Great value "Right Bank" Bordeaux, smooth and easy drinking. Produced from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon harvested from the loamy clay soils of the 'Entre Deux Mers' sub-region of Bordeaux, supple fruit and oak rounding out an easy drinking style.
Nose of cherry, raspberry and blackberry, hints of vanilla. Well rounded on the palate with supple tannins.
Wine Enthusiast 88 points "Best Buy"
"This fruity wine is ripe with black fruits and generous tannins. It has plenty of
acidity to balance the fruit, giving a wine that is both crisp and packed with fruit.
The structure is already just right. Drink from 2018."
Pago de Circus Rouge (Navarra, Spain)
Fruity & smooth Spanish red blend from Navarra. Pago de Cirsus is located in the southern-most part of the Navarra region next to the more famous Rioja region. The wines are produced from a single estate from harvest to fermentation, the entire process is completed within the territory of the estate making it a ‘Vino de Pago.’
50% Merlot, 30% Tempranillo, 20% Syrah - Destemmed and cold macerated before fermentation. Matured in 90% French and 10% American oak for 9 months. Dark red colour with a blue tint. Spicy berry fruits on the nose, light palate weight with cherry, blueberry and blackberry fruits with firm but sweet tannins on the finish.
Element 'The Topographer' (Hawkes Bay, New Zealand)
Our new discovery out of the Hawkes Bay - and a back vintage too at an unreasonably great price. A bit coy on the detail of the contents, but we're pretty certain that it's a blend of mostly Merlot with smaller portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and a dash of Malbec and Syrah.
A 'Topographer' is someone who studies the surface of the land, especially the natural features for the purpose of creating maps. Certainly this is of paramount importance for creating quality wine, as is the underlying soils.
Aromas of cedar, spiced black plum, blackberry, and Herbes de Provence. Medium bodied, fully dry with rich dark fruit driving the front palate mixing with beef bouillon, bay leaf, and clear toasty oak influences on the finish. Superb for the dollars and a good reflection of the strong 2014 vintage for Hawkes Bay.
Please note: If due to high demand, we run out of any product in this pack we will substitute the product with another of a similar style, quality, and price level.
