Rioja red wine made from Tempranillo, Grenache and Mazuelo. Aged for 12 months in tanks, 12 months in oak and 6 months in the bottle.
Crafted by the founder and current winemaker, Matías Callejo, Beronia Crianza is a great all-rounder from Rioja. It is made from a blend of 91% Tempranillo, complemented with some Grenache and Mazuelo, all of them coming from estate-owned vineyards.
The wines produced by Bodegas Beronia have a distinctive flair, an unmistakable "Beronia style" that comes from its long fermentation process. During that operation, frequent pump-overs and punch-downs are performed in order to extract colour and aromas. Thus, this Spanish red wine was aged for 12 months in tanks and for another 12 months in combined oak barrels, the staves made of American oak, and the heads made of French oak. Finally, Beronia Crianza 2016 was aged for 6 months in the bottle prior to its commercial release. Drink now until 2024.
