Bishops Head Chenin Blanc
Concentrated and richly textured Chenin from Waipara
Chenin Blanc is most famous in the Loire Valley of France, where it makes a wide range of tasty and well aging wines. At 5 years old the Bishops Head Chenin Blanc is just starting to approach its peak, with richness and texture along with plenty of bright fresh fruit.
Hand harvested from our Mairehau Vineyard. Whole bunch pressed and wild yeast fermented in French oak puncheons (40% new oak). On lees for 12 months before racking and bottling.
"Concentrated and fresh with grapefruit, lemon and white peach, and undertones of almond and beeswax." Jo Burzynska, NZ
