When Firmin perfected his gin recipe he used a combination of 28 different distillates of spices and fresh fruit. Moreover, this also was a nod to the year in which the recipe was created. Each of these distillates has its own typical aroma that gives the gin its robust and spicy character.

The secret family recipe was refined by the master distillers at Filliers Distillery in 2012 and is today known as the Classic, the Belgian Dry Gin 28. This forms the basis for the current gin range.
