Maude Mohawk Hill Pinot Noir

Maude Mohawk Hill Pinot Noir

Vineyard located in the foothills of the Pisa range - so named as a view of pine trees on a nearby hill ridge looks like a Mohawk. A little more wild herb character here, this is quite structured and savoury.

  • Without doubt the largest and most luscious of the single vineyard Pinot Noirs, ripe cherry and plum aromas – rich, round and cuddly
  • 7 ha planted / planted in 2008 / 5 ha Pinot Noir, balance Pinot Gris and Chardonnay / Variety of clones planted – 5, Abel, 115, 667 / 220 m elevation
  • 100 % Clone 667 / 36% whole cluster / 23 days maceration
  • Maturation 8 + years
  • Total bottled – 1900 bottles
  • Red Wine
