Nobody's Hero Sauvignon Blanc

A compilation that turns the flavour dial up to 11, this Sauvignon Blanc opens with a mix of driving lemon, current, and fresh herb rhythms. These upbeat flavours harmonise effortlessly with the base notes of mineral imparted by our stony riverbed soils. Enjoy with seafood, shellfish, vegetarian dishes and cheese. Or just on its own.

16.5/20 Raymond Chan

Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, a little lighter on the edge. The nose is fresh and up-front with bright aromas of passionfruit, fresh herbs, snow peas and cut grass. The aromatics are clean, moderately punchy and pungent in expression. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has taut and intense flavours of passionfruit, herbs, green capsicums and cut grass, the fruit in the cooler spectrum. The flavours form a tightly bound core and line, and the mouthfeel is brisk and zesty, with the acidity driving the palate along a light-textured, firm, thirst-quenching line, leading to a passionfruity and grassy finish. This is a tightly bound, cool-spectrum Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, cut-grass and herb flavours on a brisk, mouthwatering, firm line. Serve with seafood, and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from 5 sites in the Wairau Valley, fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. 16.5/20 Dec 2017
