Todo Loco Reserva
This wine comes from "Utiel Requena" - a wine region close to Valencia in South-Eastern Spain, and the native home to the Bobal grape - the second most widely planted Spanish red grape that you've probably never heard of, partly as it is mostly blended with other more famous grapes Tempranillo and Garnacha.
Bobal is favoured for much of the 'jug wine' end of Spanish wine thanks to its ability to produce high yields, while retaining freshness despite the hot and dry conditions that it grows in.Think plush round Garnacha hooking up with spicy Syrah at a tapas bar.
The 'Reserva' from Todo Loco is a mix of 40% Bobal, 30% Tempranillo, 15% Cabernet and a splash of Syrah and Garnacha.
Garnet-crimson colour, aromas of black plums and baked blueberries, mingling with warm clay. Light to medium bodied, with a gentle spicy finish
