Umathum Lindenblattriger Koniglicher Tafelwein-Wine-Wineseeker

Umathum Lindenblattriger Koniglicher Tafelwein

Lindenblättriger (Linn-den-blett;rigger) is the local Austrian name for lime tree, as the form of the vine leaf resembles that of a lime tree. The aroma profile of the wine is also reminiscent of fresh lime blossom. The variety originates from the Hungarian and Pannonian plains. In the Tokaj region of Hungary, it is known as Hárszlevelü and is one of the principal grape varieties used in the production of traditional Tokaji wines. It was the festive wine served during the monarchy to Kings and Kaisers. Lindenblättriger once flourished in Burgenland and was widely cultivated, before it slowly became forgotten in favour of other grape varieties. We are a traditional winery and feel closely connected to the heritage of our Pannonian Region, which is why we are committed to the Lindenblättriger variety.

Bright yellow gold colour with a bouquet of fruity aromas with pear and tone fruit characters. The palate is full-bodied, firm with a spicy note of ime blossom characters. These varietal wines mature gracefully, and ver time will develop aromas reminiscent of Riesling. UMATHUM
