Ventisquero Queulat Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva
Smooth and easy drinking Cabernet.
Produced in the Maipo Valley, a region often described as the 'Bordeaux of South America' and the birthplace of Chilean viticulture. Ventisquero was founded in 1998 by a group of young entrepreneurs with the intention of creating modern and quality wines.
A cooler vintage in 2012 thanks to La Nina conditions, but good quality and high yields. The 'Gran Reserva' is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, grown on granite and stony soils, aged for 12 months in French oak before further bottle aging.
Deep purple red in colour, with a tiny hint of bricking from bottle age. Aromas of black currants, potpourri, sandalwood, and cardamon. Smooth and brimming with dark fruits on the palate with just a touch of old leather and and easy finish. Great special while stocks last.
